The anticipated sequel to Josh Nichols' 2005 Our Friend Puberty is now online! Our Pal Dating follows the story of a grown up Johnny and his adventures through the world of dating. Johnny isn't alone though, Coach Johnson is back with more advice as well as a certain animated penis. The film is more of a narrative then a parody of an instructional video like the first one, allowing for a bigger and more complex story to be told. 
I helped with the camera work and some behind the scenes stuff with this film. I also, for better or worse, revised my role as animator of Petey. So, I didn't have too much hands on time with this as I did the first, but it was a lot of fun to work on and a cool experience to see Josh direct and bring the final project together. 
The 20 minute film is full of laughs and technically surpasses its older brother. Be sure to check it out! You can watch it in two 10 minute parts or watch the whole thing at once. |
