On Tuesday, June 17th, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (7:00 PM ET) Sabers II will hit the internet. The Star Wars fan film is the spiritual sequel to Sabers (2005.) Directed by Chad Troftgruben, the film continues and builds upon the visual style of the first movie. The script, penned by Amy Tichy and Jacob Mack, follows a story that is full of action, danger and romance. 
The movie has undergone a year long development period. For me, this movie is a big deal because Sabers has always been regarded as one of my best live action works. So, I feel there are a lot of eyes that will be watching this new film. I never set out to make the best Star Wars fan film ever (because such a mission would be foolish.) What I did set out to do is make a movie that exceeds the quality, direction and fun of Sabers. In my opinion, the Sabers II cast, crew and I succeeded in that mission. 
Sabers II may see a second release in the coming months. A custom soundtrack is being composed for the film. Until then we decided to release this version of the movie, which uses music from another source (it's the same source the first Sabers borrowed from actually.) We may release bonus content with the second release (bloopers, interviews, etc,) so stay tuned!
