Film Description: When time itself begins to break, Earth will summon forth a hero. Obviously this hero didn’t hear the call, so Chad The Good Guy (Chad Troftgruben) must get off his lazy ass and save the world. Watch in amazement as Chad The Good Guy struggles to mend the very fabric of time back together. With the help of the dumb ass (Justin Huber) who started this whole conflict, they must hurl themselves through time like a bunch of oldie ducks or something. Stare in awe (or shock) as they travel to exotic time periods such as the year 2000 and the prehistoric age. Meet new and interesting characters such as the lovable caveman, Master Higgens (Nate Kostelecky). Grab some popcorn, and hold on to your Oliver, it’s going to be one hell of a ride! Film History: The 99.9% Action Movie: The Movie combines all the episodes from The 99.9 Action Series: The Series into one long movie. All the episodes were completely redone for the movie, as well as the plot. But lets back things up a bit and take a look at this movie’s origins. The 99.9% Action Series: The Series began its life in 1999. The series was only five episodes long. The story was never completed and the series was left at a cliff hanger. This was mainly due to the fact that Episode 5 turned out to be absolutely horrible. One year after the completion of Episode 5, Chad Troftgruben wanted to bite the bullet and film Episode 6, hoping to get the series back on its feet. Before beginning pre-production on Episode 6, Chad got another idea. At the time, Chad and Justin Huber were in their high school science fiction class. A final project in the form of a video or written story was required for the class. After a long discussion, Chad and Justin decided to do a movie based on the entire series they have created and rightfully complete the series in the process. Chad got to work on re-writing the episodes. The time travel plot in The 99.9% Action Series: The Series left many plot holes unanswered, Chad strived to fix these and for the most part succeed. However, an actual screenplay was never created. Once the basic story was written out, Episode 1 of the movie was filmed a few days later. The movie took two months to film and was edited while filming commenced. The movie barely made the deadline to be handed in to the teacher for Chad and Justin’s science fiction class. Even though the movie had its problems, such as minor plot holes and dialogue delivery, it seemed to please its target audience. The 99.9% Action Movie: The Movie is claimed by many people to be the best movie I.M. Independent Productions has done to date. The plot is actually very in depth, but many people seem to bypass this because of its goofy shell. Even though Chad Troftgruben has realized the many flaws in the movie, the other co-creator (Justin Huber) stands by it as being a fun adventure for everyone.
