Film Description:

Obi Macaroni (Zach Tibor) is entering his final trial to becoming a Power Master. But when a devastating accident kills everyone in the complex, Obi Macaroni must take on a real challenge that will test his allegiance to The Power.

Film History:

If I remember right, this movie was either a prequel to the old 1998 series we made or a totally new series (think of it as Space Wars: Begins). This film was made to utilize the new editing software I (Chad Troftgruben) had recently obtained. The new program allowed for lightsabers to be drawn onto the video with ease. However, at the time this was edited, I would import my videos at 15 frames per second at a resolution of 320 x 240 (as opposed to 29.97 or 24 frames per second at 720 x 480 or higher). The result was a choppy and blurry looking movie. To top it off, the lightsaber looked horrible, for it was really fat and the glow was too big. At the time however, it seemed amazing. Another fact is that this movie was filmed before Aliens- Chapter 1: The War Begins (the movie that is considered our first third generation movie). but was released after Aliens. The movie itself is a disaster through. The basic plot is Obi Macaroni and his master fight invisible aliens. The master uses a blaster, which is stupid because if he’s training Obi Macaroni, you’d think he would use a damn lightsaber. And to top it off, he wears an army suit, as opposed to a robe. It’s hard to believe how dumb the plot is. However, it’s even harder to believe it’s over four years old (ah, how time flies).
