Film Description:

After Al Gore entered the Presidency in 2001, the citizens in the divided country of the United States of America began to take sides. The people who voted for George W. Bush felt cheated and began to start their own government. What resulted was the second civil war.

Film History:

Oh man, The Beginning of the End. This movie sure did get Zach Tibor and I (Chad Troftgruben) excited for a while. When I came up with the movie idea, Zach and I began writing it immediately. We were freshman in high school at the time and didn’t even have equipment to edit video. The idea of this movie obviously came to me due to the controversial 2000 presidential election. If I remember what the idea of the movie was, Al Gore kept pushing for the re-counts and it finally was determined that he did in fact win. So, in this what if scenario, the good guys (the redneck conservatives) joined together, elected George W. Bush as their leader, and a second civil war began. Now, keep in mind, for one reason or another, I was for Bush back when this whole thing happened. Therefore, I wanted to portray him and his followers as the good guys. And shit, looking back on this, that view couldn’t have been more wrong (but I won’t push my political views on you guys today). Anyway, we had a whole group of actors lined up to be in this movie, but the project was just too big for us to handle and never got past the early script stages (yes, we were actually writing a script for it unlike our other works during this time).
