Film History:

The Galactic Blunder never got past being a rough story idea. So why do I post it in the movie archive? The Galactic Blunder eventually turned into an animated series, Ahoyager: The Journey Home. Ahoyager was fairly popular, so the Galactic Blunder did serve its purpose. The basic story was this: a group of raw cadets go on a training mission in space. While going through their standard exercises, one of the moron cadets hits a button and the ship warps into deep space. During the trip, the captain is killed and the cadets have to establish a chain of command and begin their journey home. During this time, they experience a power outage, a hostile boarding party, and a friendly holographic chef. The Ahoyager plot was tweaked, but the basic plot remained the same. Both The Galactic Blunder and Ahoyager did borrow elements from Star Trek: Voyager though.
