For the past few months, I have received questions about the fate of Enterprise: Flashed. I’ve tried to keep this under wraps, but I realize it’s best to just come out and say it. Yes, there has been a lack of Enterprise: Flashed updates lately. Why? Because the series has been on indefinite hold since These are the Voyages? wrapped up production. Basically, this means that the series is on the back burner at the moment. It’s not cancelled. So please, don’t confuse these two terms. I’ll quote what I just wrote on the Trek United forum:

"Enterprise: Flashed is on indefinite hold at this time. That doesn’t mean it’s cancelled. It’s future has yet to be determined though. This is due to me setting priorities for my other projects. Also, Enterprise: Flashed was really based on current events with the Save Enterprise campaign. Everything has died down and for the most part people have moved on. The franchise as a whole is moving on. And so some of the stories I had written (especially the series finale) had to deal with a lot of issues that no longer really matter. And now it seems like it would be too late to tread in those areas. I feel the strong point of the series was it brought current issues into the E:F world and used them as plotlines.

Again, Enterprise: Flashed has not be cancelled. At the moment I’m just not sure how I want to continue with it."

So, there you have it. I will most definitely keep you guys updated on Enterprise: Flashed when there are actually updates to post. I know there are many fans of the series out there. And so I am making it my duty to keep that fanbase informed of any progress. So stay tuned.
