On March 17th, 2005, Enterprise: Flashed - Episode 1: Cancelled was released for public viewing. Along side this, I launched the official web site (http://www.enterpriseflashed.com). This was the birth of Enterprise: Flashed. I remember I didn’t expect the series to have a very long life. I was expecting people to actually hate the first episode for some reason. But when I advertised the episode on http://www.saveenterprise.com and then a couple days later on http://www.trekunited.com, I was surprised to see all the positive feedback I was receiving. So I had a problem on my hands, I needed to get cracking on a second episode! And with each episode release, the more viewers I got. It was quite an amazing thing.

So here we are, one year later, and Enterprise: Flashed is still going strong. With thousands of viewers logged and six episodes released (including the Moonves series), I think it’s safe to say this series is a success. Since 2002 I have been making animated Flash cartoons, and I have never created a series that is loved by so many people. I am also grateful that the Trek United community has supported the series so much. It was an awesome thing when I was given my own forum on the Trek United message board. It boost my viewer ratings significantly. If it wasn’t for Trek United, I don’t think the series would’ve lasted. I have made a lot of friends there (and some enemies too - but mainly on another message board) and I am proud to be affiliated with that community.

Probably my fondest memory of the past year was the release of Moonves Versus Brazeal. It was a thrill to work with Tim and Jane Brazeal on the project (they donated their voices). And it was probably the most anticipated movie I have ever worked on. When the movie was ready to be released, Tim Brazeal simultaneously launched the new Trek United design with the cartoon. With this, Moonves Versus Brazeal got so many hits I exceeded my bandwidth limit for the next three months. It was a very cool experience.

Even though Star Trek: Enterprise is no longer in production, we will always remain fans of the show and the franchise. And I think that’s where Enterprise: Flashed’s appeal lies. People like Star Trek and humor - and that’s what I strive to deliver with Enterprise: Flashed, even if my sense of humor can be harsh sometimes (Moonves Versus Brazeal comes to mind). It’s hard to believe a year has already passed, but it was fun. And I am looking forward to another great year with this series. I know I haven’t been as active lately (I’ve been involved with another film project), but I promise new episodes will resume soon.

So, here’s to another great year! I’m looking forward to it!
