Meeting Overview:

Pres. Josh Nichols went through the Amendments to the Constitution and passed out copies of the Constitution to all members. VP Chad gave an update on the Website. It is now a blog based website – the message board has been deleted. There are areas to leave comments on pretty much anything now. Biographies for all members are optional, and Chad will NOT be writing them, so if you want one you need to provide him with one. There is also a store now on the website. Eventually it will be a paypal and have DVDs, mugs, shirts, etc. Any requests for certain items can be given to Josh or Chad.

Chad and Josh presented upcoming projects, projects in production and projects in post-production. “I Am Ahoyager” by Lilredhead Productions is a project in the works by the filmmakers sister site. “Batguy” is going through its 3rd re-edit. Release is to be announced at a later date. “Factory” is a short trailer featuring a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory spoof. The “Bingo Documentary” is an idea in the works right now about the “dark underbelly” of bingo. Other projects presented included the horror movie “Haymaker.” Anyone interested should contact Brandon Pelling. “Maximum Carnage 4” was suggested as a movie/trailer. We have been working on a Peer Mediation video for DHS. We have also been asked to possibly do a podcast/training video for Medora – details to come. Dr. Taylor has asked about us filming some music videos for his history classes. Pattie Carr has asked us to film some things having to do with Alcohol Awareness for some grants that she is writing. Again, more info to come. Some proposed projects from members included Machinema, and a musical that Bennet has put a script together for based on songs by a group called Real Big Fish.

The last order of business was to discuss “Roomies” seasons 2 and 3. There are not going to be any auditions. If for some reason some auditions should come up, they will be announces well in advance. The “Beans in a Can” trailer was presented to go along with the first episode of “Roomies” for this season. Commercial ideas for this season are welcome also. There are, as always crew positions available. Most importantly, Chad and Josh are looking for an assistant director. Anyone interested should let Chad or Josh know asap. The writing staff will be having some meetings and emails will be sent out as to when those are. “Roomies” season 1 DVDs are not quite ready yet. They will be free to the “immediate ‘Roomies’ family” and for everyone else cost $5.00, which is basically the cost of burning them. The “Roomies” production team is looking for new locations. We will still be able to use Scott’s house for a little while, but soon we will need a new location. Anyone who has a place they would be willing to offer should talk to Josh or Chad, again, asap. There was a preview reading for the episodes of ”Roomies” seasons 2 and 3. Anyone with other ideas for episodes should feel free to tell an executive member.

Meetings are going to be held the first Thursday of every month in Kline 108 at 5:00 pm. If the meeting is not in room 108, then it will be in one of the adjacent rooms.

We can do Homecoming week nominations if we want to and members should try to remember to sign up at the booths as a member so we can get points toward the prizes.

Before adjourning, the first episode of Season 2 of “Roomies” was read through.
